National Flood Insurance Program Basic Agent Training

FREE Member Benefit Seminar for all IIABAZ members.

Whether caused by monsoons, severe winter storms, raging wildfires or some other natural or man-made event, flooding represents a significant exposure to property and life in the US including in the desert states. Insurance agents play an important role in helping home and property owners with assessing their risk and providing insurance to help protect their property. Agents who sell standard flood insurance policies issued through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) are required to meet minimum FEMA training and education requirements managed by their State Department of Insurance.

This session is designed to provide agents with the necessary training to meet FEMA and AZ Department of Insurance education requirements. The training session will also provide valuable and current information to assist insurance agents in consulting with their clients regarding the exposures and need for flood insurance. The best financial protection from a flood is insurance.
